We know we haven’t made a blog post in a while, but we have a good reason. After our Kettering event the team is at 101%. We have been full steam ahead at the Bot Cave getting ready for Dow High. We are going to make a states worthy robot and make it to SVSU.
The Build team has been hard at work making new changes to our bot. We have been working on making our shooter more precise and our swerve drive faster. We are also perfecting our current climber so it’s the best it can be for our Midland event. We have plans to change it if we were to make it to states.
Our Set Up Team had been focusing their work on setting up the field. We have gone from not having a field (pre-Kettering) to having a complete field to practice on for Dow High.
Our school is having a STEM night coming soon so everyone has been cleaning up and preparing for it. It’ll be showing off FTC ( First Tech Challenge), FLL (Freeland Lego League), and FRC (Freeland Robotics Club).
To end it all off we have the STEM event this event will be taking place from March 15. This event we will be showcasing the robot and instilling the values of STEM into the younger kids that will be walking through the bot cave and seeing our robot. We are really exited for this event and to spread the good news of FIRST into the next generations.
There is still more to come for this Freeland Robotics team. Check back next week for more updates on the 5166 team.
